Two more ex-Queens off to college
Turner heads to Adrian College while McRae will skate for RIT
June 21 -- The ever-talented Thunder Bay Queens women‘s rep program continues to see members of their alumna moving to play at higher levels.
Former Queens player Lauren Turner has committed to attend Adrian College in Michigan while Kolbee McRae will be suiting up for the Rochester Institute of Technology Lady Tigers program in upstate New York.
After leaving the Queens, Turner spent two seasons playing both forward and defence at the Ontario Hockey Academy in Cornwall.
She‘s joining an Adrian team that competes in the Northern Collegiate Hockey Association. The Bulldogs finished tied for second in the NCHA standings this past season.
McRae is coming off a campaign where she served as team captain and led her club, the Burlington Barracudas, in overall scoring.
RIT plays out of women‘s division of the ECAC West conference where they finished third out of 10 teams last season.
