Sportop Queens ready for Minnesota Mayhem
THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Thunder Bay Sportop midget AA Queens are off to St. Paul, Minn., this weekend to compete in the inaugural Minnesota Mayhem tournament.
Thunder Bay will be part of the 10-team event that features other competing clubs from Minnesota, Wisconsin, Illinois and Manitoba that will take to the ice vying for the title.
The Queens begin play Friday at 7:10 p.m. vs. the Pembina Valley Hawks.
Two other tilts are on the slate Saturday with the Shaftesbury Prep Titans providing the opposition at 12:20 p.m. followed by a 7 p.m. encounter with the Eastman Selects.
Remaining game action for the Sportop Queens Sunday will be determined by their placing in round robin play.
