Queens blanked in Buffalo
BUFFALO, N.Y. – The Thunder Bay Manshield Construction bantam A Queens dropped a narrow 1-0 decision to the Etobicoke Dolphins of Toronto Saturday afternoon at the Harbor Center Cup under-14 tournament in Buffalo, N.Y.
Etobicoke notched the lone tally of the contest early in the opening period and held on from there to remain unbeaten at 3-0-0 while Thunder Bay fell to 0-2-1 overall.
Samantha Stubbs was in net for the Queens in defeat stopping 15 of 16 shots fired her way.
Thunder Bay wraps up play in the 10-team tourney Sunday at 8:15 a.m. vs. the Gilmour Sabres from Illinois.
