Midget A Queens set for first tourney

THUNDER BAY, Ont. – The Thunder Bay Topper’s Pizza midget A Queens will get their first taste of out of town competition this weekend as they travel to Blaine, Minn., to compete in the CCM Upper Midwest Elite High School Invitational.

This marks the first time the midget A Queens have been invited to take part in this event.

Thunder Bay begins play Friday at 2:45 p.m. as the take on Team CCM from Minnesota.

Game action Saturday has the squad taking to the ice twice beginning with a 9:05 a.m. encounter with the Minnesota Revolution.

They will then meet the Rocky Mountain Rough Riders from Colorado later in the day at 3:55 p.m.

Finishing off the weekend, the midget A side will have a 2:30 p.m. face-off with the Colorado Selects.
