Midget A Queens drop Upper Midwest Elite opener

BLAINE, Minn. – The Thunder Bay Topper’s Pizza midget A Queens fell 3-1 Friday to Team CCM of Minnesota in their opening game of the CCM Upper Midwest Elite High School Invitational in Blaine, Minn.

After falling behind 3-0, Thunder Bay picked up their lone tally of the contest via the power play Maddison Fullum set-up Jamie Ricklefs in the second period.

Anjelina Badanai suffered the setback in net for the Queens.

Game action Saturday has the squad taking to the ice twice beginning with a 9:05 a.m. encounter with the Minnesota Revolution.

They will then meet the Rocky Mountain Rough Riders from Colorado later in the day at 3:55 p.m.

This marks the first year the midget A Queens are competing in the UMEHS league.
