Midget A Queens blanked in Upper Midwest Elite finale

BLAINE, Minn. – The Thunder Bay Topper’s Pizza midget A Queens wrapped up play Sunday at the CCM Upper Midwest Elite High School Invitational in Blaine, Minn., with a 3-0 setback at the hands of the Colorado Selects under-19 squad.

Colorado scored once in each period in picking up the victory with Morgan McIver tallying twice and Catia Porter adding a single.

Gabrielle Ohanesian posted the shutout for the Selects while Cameron Ivall suffered the defeat in goal for Thunder Bay.

The midget A Queens finished their first-ever appearance against top level Upper Midwest Elite competition from the U.S. with a 1-2-1 record over four games.
