2 Queens’ club to compete in Duluth Icebreakers tourney

THUNDER BAY – Both the Thunder Bay bantam AA and peewee Queens will be in Duluth, Minn., this weekend to compete in the St. Luke’s Icebreakers Invitational tournament.

Game action for the bantam AA side begins Friday at 9:45 p.m. as they take on the Grand Rapids – Greenway Lightning.

Saturday’s slate has them meeting another Minnesota side as they go up against Rochester at 2:45 p.m.

Later in the day they will move on to the playoff round at 7:45 p.m. against a yet to be determined opponent.

As for the peewees, they too commence competition Friday when they face off with the Minnetonka Skippers at 7:45 p.m.

The Coon Rapids – Champlin Park Rebels will then await Thunder Bay Saturday at 11:30 a.m.

Playoff round play for the Queens in the peewee division begins at 6 p.m. Saturday.

Medal round action in all divisions goes Sunday.

Meanwhile the Toppers Pizza midget A Queens will also be on the road this weekend for a three-game set vs. the Dryden Eagles.

The two sides will meet at 1 p.m. and 6:30 p.m. Saturday before rounding out the series Sunday at 11:45 a.m.
