Queens blanked in World Sports School Challenge finale

WINNIPEG, Man. – Thunder Bay Sportop midget AA Queens dropped a 3-0 decision to the Eastman Selects of Manitoba Saturday in their final game at the World Sports School Challenge in Winnipeg, Man.

The contest was scoreless after one period of play before Eastman tallied twice in the middle session and added another in the latter stages of the third to round out the scoring.

Chelsea Dinnin notched a pair of markers, including the game-winner, for the Selects while Lauren Warkentin and Camille Enns dished out two assists apiece in the triumph.

Aden Johnson suffered the setback in net for Thunder Bay.

The Queens will now begin gearing up for the Ontario Women’s Hockey Association provincial championships, April 6-9, in Toronto.
