Sportop Midget AA Queens To Play “Up” in DC

THUNDER BAY, ON — This coming weekend the Sportop Midget AA Queens will travel to Washington, DC to take part in the 11th annual JWHL Challenge Cup. Not only will the Queens be facing stiff competition from all over North America but they’ll be competing in the older “U19” age group.

The Midget AAs will kick things off on Friday at 5:10 pm against the Pacific Steelers from Richmond, BC. Saturday morning at 9:00 the Sportop Queens play their first of two games against the Ottawa Lady 67s before facing Ridley College (from St. Catherines, Ontario) at 4:40 pm. Sunday afternoon at 3:00 the Sportop Queens will play the final game of the preliminary matches against the Chicago Young Americans after which championship round seedings will take place.
