Jada Leblanc Commits to UWS Yellowjackets

THUNDER BAY, ON — Jada Leblanc has announced her commitment to play for the University of Wisconsin-Superior Yellowjackets in the 2020-21 season. Leblanc, a third year forward for the Sportop Midget AA Queens, knew UWS was the right place for her to continue her education and hockey career, "After visiting the campus and seeing the university, I could see that it is a close-knit community with smaller class sizes and a wide variety of programs offered, which made UWS a clear choice.” Leblanc recalled on a tour of the  campus, "I knew prior to the offer that UW-Superior has an exceptional hockey program and I am more than excited to continue my hockey career as a Yellowjacket.”

Jada credits the Queens with preparing her for this achievement, “The Queens organization has prepared me for this next step in my hockey career by teaching me the game of hockey and countless life lessons. I have learned the importance of determination, hard work, and resiliency, along with valuable skills such as time management and teamwork.” as well as the continuous support from her circle, “I would especially like to thank my teammates for the endless memories and for being a family on and off the ice, as well as all of my coaches for making me the player I am today. Without my friends and family, this opportunity would not be possible and I am beyond grateful for their continuous support.”

Jada will join current teammate Kailey Swerhun at UWS.
