Thunder Bay Queens Hockey Organization

The Thunder Bay Queens teams go 1-1-1 on the first day of the Westfort Tournament. 

The Staal U11 team started off strong with a big 6-0 win over Neebing.  Goals in the afternoon affair came from Azariya Kitchener, Grave Vinet, Tavia Minnella, and a big hat-trick by Sara Johnson.

The U15A team suffered a heart wrenching defeat at the hands of the host Westfort Rangers.  After Westfort got the scoring started, the Queens Rachel Mann responded in the 2nd to tie the game at one.  The assist going to Mandy Arthur.  The game would remain tied and require a shootout where the Queens were unable to find the back of the net.

In the night-cap, the Fat Guys U13 Queens looked to replicate the success of the U11 team with a win over Neebing, however this time Neebing would have the edge with a final score of 6-2.  Goals for the Queens from Shayla Stokaluk and Ava Hrubeniuk.

All 3 teams continue their quest to the finals with 6 games slated for Friday.
