Bantam AA Queens take to the ice this weekend

The Thunder Bay First Class Gas bantam AA Queens will get their first taste of game action, at home, this weekend as they take on the Sault Ste. Marie Wildcats as part of a multi-game series at local venues.

Game 1 between the Queens and bantam Wildcats goes Friday evening at 7:30 p.m. at Current River Arena.

The two sides will then meet again Saturday at 9 a.m. with Port Arthur Arena serving as the site.

From there the clubs will switch opponents with the bantam AAs heading over to Fort William First Nation Arena for a 3 p.m. encounter with the Thunder Bay peewee Kings.

Sault Ste. Marie meanwhile will meet the Manshield Construction bantam A Queens at 2 p.m. Saturday back at Port Arthur.

The Kings then tangle with the Wildcats later that evening, also at Port Arthur Arena, starting at 7 p.m.

Rounding out the weekend will see the FCG Queens going up against the Sault one final time, with that match-up slated for 9 a.m. Sunday morning at Port Arthur Arena.

This weekend’s set of games are part of a number of events and tournaments the First Glass Gas bantam AA Queens will be competing in during the course of the 2013-14 season.

Feb. 14-16 – CAN/AM Challenge Cup (Madison, Wis.)

April 11-13 – OWHA Provincials (Toronto)
