Thunder Bay tacked on three more in the second stanza on efforts by Sibley Duckert, Brenna Nicol and Dayna Doucet.

After the Rangers made it 6-2 in the latter stages of the middle stanza, Kunnas finished off a hat-trick thanks to Darosa and Hannah Leung with 21 seconds remaining in the frame.

The Queens then put the game away in the third thanks to Carly Hennessey and Mackenzie Lehto.
