Bantam finalist, semifinal opponents determined at Queens Showcase

THUNDER BAY – The Fort Frances Leafs are going right to the final in the bantam division at the Thunder Bay Queens Showcase.

They earned their right to vie for the title after coming out on top of the bantam group as they concluded round robin play with a 3-1 victory over the Thunder Bay Fury Saturday afternoon.

The result meant both teams along with the Manshield Construction Queens all finished with 1-1 records in round robin play with Fort Frances earning a place directly to the final via tiebreaker.

Meanwhile the Queens and Fury will compete in the semifinal Saturday at 5 p.m. to see who will join the Leafs in bantam division championship game Sunday at 9:30 a.m.

GAME 13: Bantam: Fort Frances Leafs 3 Thunder Bay Bantam Fury 1 – Fort Frances punched their ticket directly to Sunday’s bantam final with the win over the Fury.
