Queens Teams On The Move

THUNDER BAY, ON —Three Thunder Bay Queens teams are travelling for out of town tournaments this weekend. 

The Sportop Midget AA Queens head East to Quebec City for the International Girls Hockey Tournament of Quebec where they’ll take on the Nepean Wildcats on Friday at 9:40am and then play Husky Ch at 4:20pm. On Saturday, it’s an early start against the Markham-Stouffville Stars at 8:20am and then an afternoon date with the Gatineau Intrepide at 2:40pm.

The Topper’s Pizza Midget A Queens heads West to Winnipeg for the 10th Annual Lieutenant Governor’s Cup. The Midget As have two games Friday starting with a 1:30pm puck drop against the Manitoba Blizzard and then at 7:15pm, they’ll meet the Prairie Blaze. On Saturday afternoon, a familiar foe in the Con College Thunderhawks will battle the Queens at 2:45pm before a quick turnaround to face the Western Predators at 6:15pm.

And finally, the Bantam A Queens travel Southwest to Fargo, North Dakota for the SCHEELS Girl's International 15U. The Queens have a single game on Friday at 3:00pm with the Chaska Chanhassen and two Saturday games starting at 8:00am against the Fargo Freeze and 2:45pm versus Blaine.

Sunday’s schedules for all three teams will determined by Friday’s and Saturday’s outcomes.
