Bantam AAs Stonewalled in Stoney Creek

STONEY CREEK, ON — The Bantam AA Queens found tough competition this weekend in the Stoney Creek Bantam AA Showcase. After dropping 4-0 and 4-1 decisions to the Pittsburgh Penguins Elite and London Devilettes on Friday, the Queens were shutout in both of their Saturday games by scores of 6-0 to the Whitby Wolves and 1-0 to Belle Tire. 

Queens Manager, Chantal Keating admitted they “Played some excellent teams”. The team from Pittsburgh routed everyone put in their path with the possible exception of the aforementioned London Devilettes who they only managed a 3-1 win against. Belle Tire obliterated their Saturday morning opponent 9-0 before posting a 1-0 win over the Queens. You could say it was a tough draw.

Sunday morning, the Bantam AAs dropped another shutout loss, this time a 3-0 defeat at the hands of the Greater Kingston Ice Wolves.
