Sportop Queens Take Gold in Shattuck!

FARIBAULT, MN — The famous Shattuck St. Mary’s was the stage that was set for perfection by the Sportop Midget AA Queens. After going 3-0 through Friday and Saturday with wins over Pembina Valley (3-1), Shattuck St. Mary’s (3-1) and Pilot Mound Buffaloes (2-1) the Queens met Gentry Academy Sunday in the final game. Jamie Ricklefs would get the Queens on the board with a 1st period goal and Mackenzie Lehto would later setup Lucy Newman to extend the lead which was more than enough of a lead for goalie Josée Robinson to work with as she shutout Gentry Academy, leading the Queens to a 2-0 decision, a 4-0 record and some nice hardware to bring back to Canada.
