Gridlink Midget A Queens Open Kap’ Series with Win

KAPUSKASING, ON — The Gridlink Midget A Queens are in Kapuskasing this weekend for a 4-game series with the Kapuskasing Jaguars.

Game one took place Friday evening. Olivia Nicholl’s goal, early in the second period, gave Thunder Bay the lead with Gaby Andreacchi and Emma Johnston drawing assists. Andreacchi would then setup Sibley Duckert who’d score, putting the Queens up 2-0. In the third, Queens Captain Caitlin Olinski increased the lead to three. A bad turnover in the slot in the last minute would cost Mya Gowanlock her otherwise perfect game. 3-1 final.

The Queens and the Jaguars will place twice on Saturday, first at 1:00pm and then again at 7:00pm. They’ll play their fourth and final game on Sunday at 10:30am.
