Queens Teams Prepare for Tournaments
THUNDER BAY, ON — A couple Queens teams on are the move this weekend for out of town tournaments.
The Sportop Midget AA Queens will be in Winnipeg for the Female World Sport School Challenge. They’ll get their first game on Thursday night at 6:40pm versus the Eastman Selects. On Friday, they’ll get a 10:45am start against Pilot Mound and then take on the Lloydminster PWM Steelers at 6:45pm. Saturday’s competition is to be determined. The Bantam As are travelling to Fargo, North Dakota to compete in the Scheels Girls International 15U tournament. On Friday, they’ll take on the West Fargo Stampede at 4:30pm. Saturday, the Bantam As wake up early for a 9:45am start against Grand Rapids/Greenway before a 4:45pm matchup with the Eastman Selects. All of Sunday’s action is TBD based on their earlier games. Meanwhile, the Gridlink Atom Queens won’t have to travel far for the Neebing Tournament. Friday’s action sees the Atoms in a couple games, starting against the Norwest Stars at 1:15pm and then against the Buzzy’s Elks at 6:00pm. Saturday has another couple games for the Atom Queens beginning with the Westfort Maroons at 9:00am and then the Westfort Rangers at 3:00pm. These games will determine Sunday’s playoff games.
