Queens go 5-2 on Friday

Friday record see the Queens combine for a 5-2 record 

 

The Fat Guys Auto U13 team started the weekend off for the Queens with a 1-0 win over the host Whitby Wolves. Lone goal from Ava Hrubeniuk.  The team would remain undefeated with a 4-2 win over Central Park Panthers. Goals from Stansell, Hrubeniuk and a pair from Barenz.

 

The Strasser & Lang U15AA team would start with an impressive 4-0 win over Burlington, but would fall to 1-1 on the weekend with a 5-1 loss  to the tough Brampton Canadettes.

 

Brampton U18AA team would also get the better of the Sportop U18AA Queens in the early game. The Queens would lose the game 3-1. In a must win evening game the team would bounce back from 3-0 deficit to beat Peterborough.  The come from behind 5-4 win had goals from Jackson and Voortman (both with 2) and Ricciardi.

 

The Half-Way Motors U18A team would start local action against the Confederation College Thunderhawks.  The Friday night game was the first of the season for the newly formed College team, with many past Queens players on the roster.   The Queens would prevail in the end with a 5-4 win, with the game winner coming from Julie Moro.  Other goals from Valente, Reguly and a pair from Fitzpatrick.  Ria Slomke would help secure the win in net for the Queens.
